MISSION STATEMENT
The Samantha Project is a ministry designed to bring the comfort of God's love to children going through the trauma of treatment for life-threatening illnesses.

VISION STATEMENT
To see children, parents, extended family, and hospital personnel throughout the nation witness God's love through the distribution of therapeutic dolls to children with life-threatening illnesses.

"We use the dolls as a teaching tool with children receiving chemotherapy or raditaion trements. We explain how the drugs may make them lose their hair... then we show them how the dolls look without their hats and they see that the dolls are still pretty without hair. They are so excited to find the dolls are for them to keep!
We call the dolls by their given names. On occasion we have also used the dolls with elderly patients who are confused and child-like and with mentally retarded or handicapped people.
I feel certain there is a higher being present, helping us to use these dolls which I know are made out of LOVE!"

"The Samantha dolls are unique because they do not have any hair, just like many of our pediatric patients receiving chemotherapy. The dolls help us prepare these children for their procedures... whatever is going to be done to the patient, we do to the doll. It eases the patient's anxiety and they in turn, take care of their dolls just as they want to be cared for. It makes the children feel good to have a doll 'just like them'."
